                               SPIDERS

There are more than 35,000 species of spiders around the
world, of which around 3,000 are located in North America. Several
Spider species are household pests. They can be found wherever
have food available. All spiders are predatory, feeding
mainly from insects and other small arthropods. In the U.S
only two groups of spiders are considered dangerous to man, spiders
black widow and brown recluse. Both groups are made up of several species.

TICK

The common name of this tick comes from the fact that
is only found in North America and that the domestic dog is the
favorite host of their adults. Although it is not a structural pest,
it is commonly found on dogs and easily attacks humans. Is
of medical importance because it is a vector of pathogenic organisms that cause
Rocky Mountain spot fever and tularemia, causing
also paralysis of the tick. It is located in all the United States, except
in the Rocky Mountains area, as well as in Canada and Mexico.
RECOGNITION. The adult female without feeding measures approximately
5 mm, the male is slightly smaller (approximately 3.6 mm, while
that the female already fed can measure up to 15 mm in length and 10 mm in
broad. Body oval, flattened back ventrally (from top to bottom). Color
brown with whitish to gray markings, often with a silver hue
(ornamentation) in the escutelum (dorsal shield). Escutelum (fair dorsal shield
behind the buccal apparatus) restricted to the front half of the back in the female,
almost completely covers the back in males except for the festoons. Eyes
on the margin of the escutelum. Capitulum (oral apparatus and its bases) visible from
above; the base capituli (base of the oral appliance) rectangular with the sides not
produced / angled laterally, almost as large as the buccal apparatus;
second palp segment nearly as long as wide, not produced
sideways. Eleven abdominal festoons (rectangular areas divided by
furrows along posterior margin); Anal fissure present, posterior to the anus.
Spiracular plate (on the belly / below, near the margin just behind the fourth
coxa, 1 pair) broad, usually with a flattened process that reaches the back,
globelos (round structures), very small and numerous.

                                  COCKROACHES

The cockroach has changed very little during the 400
millions of years of existence. Most of the species are of
tropical or subtropical origin. Although they are not social insects, they are gregarious or
they are commonly grouped. They eat pretty much anything you have
nutritional value.
The cockroach is among the most important pests of houses and
business establishments. Not only is their mere presence considered
bothersome, but are known to be capable of transmitting various organisms
common disease pathogens, as well as causing allergic reactions
in many people. The most common pathogens include bacteria
of the genera Salmonella (food poisoning), Staphylococcus,
Streptococcus, Coliform, Bacillus and Clostridium, Escherichia coli bacteria (diarrhea)
and Shigella dysenteriae (dysentery), toxoplasmosis caused by protozoa
parasites and hepatitis B antigen. Other minor illnesses
currently in the United States they include cholera, plague, and polio.
Of the approximately 4,000 species of cockroaches that inhabit the
world, about 70 are located in the United States. Just a few of
these species of cockroaches inhabit human dwellings. The most common

are American, Australian, brown, brown-banded, German,
eastern, the Pennsylvanica of the woods and the smoky brown cockroach. For
By far the most common is the German cockroach.

                          ANTS

Ants form one of the groups of insects most
successful. They are social insects that live in colonies usually located in
land, but may enter buildings in search of protection and / or food. The
ants eat practically all kinds of food, but those that
they invade the houses, they do it in search of sweet substances and / or that contain
proteins.
There are approximately 700 species of
ants. Of these, only about 25 species usually infest homes.
Plague ants are generally divided into two groups according to
your typical nesting preferences either on walls or on the ground. Biology
and habits of each species are different, so a knowledge is necessary
detailed information on each species in order to obtain effective control.
The five most common types of ants that nest on walls are:
carpenter ant, mad ant, domestic smelly ant, pharaoh ant and the
thief ant. The ants most commonly found nesting in
head thorax abdomen
funiculus
gaster pedicel
antenna
pedicel
epinoto
node
I escape
Eye
spiracle
mandible
labial palp
paw
maxillary palp
the terrain are: Argentine ant, pavement ant, small black ant,
velvety tree ant, and fire ant.
